Hello everyone,
I hope you can help me with some questions about our new IKEA kitchen.
The design is basically finished. We decided to get all the parts from IKEA so we don’t get any unpleasant surprises. All parts?
No!
My wife really wants this sink:

It was basically love at first sight.
Now our question is: Can I connect the Atlant siphon, single bowl, item number: 202.155.23 to this sink? We’d like to install a small drawer underneath the sink.
A second question we have: We are planning an L-shaped kitchen. One side is 3.14 m (10 ft 4 in), the other 1.77 m (5 ft 10 in).
No matter how I arrange it, the "long" side ends up being at best 2.50 m (8 ft 2 in) (3.14 m minus 63.5 cm (25 inches)). Unfortunately, the countertop is only 2.46 m (8 ft 1 in). Does anyone have an idea how I could hide or bridge the 4-5 cm gap?
Thanks a lot – Frank

We also have a slightly deeper one, and with the finishing strip, it’s 62.5cm (25 inches) deep.
The corner connectors can be drilled on site (under the slab).

kindgottes924 Feb 2016 19:36We recently visited Hornbach to look at countertops:
You can of course order any depth, but that gets expensive. In stock, there are exactly three laminate boards in different shades of gray, which look very high-quality, with a depth of 635mm (25 inches).
There is also solid beech wood available in 900mm (35 inches) depth, but these boards are only 3m (10 feet) long. Everything is custom cut, so you pay only for the length you need.

IKEA-Experte5 Feb 2016 13:55It is a pity that IKEA no longer offers more designs for the Personlig countertops. When I was recently at Hornbach, I noticed at the timber cutting station that Hornbach sources panels from Lechner, just like IKEA. However, the prices differ significantly. Whether there are any quality differences, I have no idea.
