Paulus16Hello,
the interior finishing of the top floor ceiling is currently underway in our single-family house. Under the rough boarding, there is 22cm (9 inches) of mineral wool insulation, followed by a vapor retarder and then the battens. After that, the electrician will install the wiring, then the drywall panels will be installed, and finally the interior plastering will begin. According to the drywall installer, the work is always done in the order of drywall first, then plaster. Is this correct, or should it be done the other way around? I am concerned about moisture and the risk of mold developing in the drywall panels!

I’m concerned about moisture and the risk of mold developing in the drywall panels!Drywall panels are usually fully joint-taped and finished when good quality is required. Also, the transitions need to look neat.
What’s the problem?
Just don’t forget to ventilate properly.
