Herrbau201413 Jul 2014 11:38Hello,
Many stones with what I consider to be noticeable damage have been installed in visible areas of our facade (windows, doors). I have already raised this issue with the construction company, who said they will think it over...
To clarify: no, the contract does not specify that only perfect stones may be used.
Is there any guideline, regulation, or case law that defines when this would be considered a defect?
Regards

First of all: no, the contract does not state that only 100% whole bricks must be used. Hello,
in my opinion, that is not necessary either.
Sorry, the damages are clearly visible here and at least constitute a cosmetic defect.
Imagine you were buying a super sports car for the same price – would you accept paint scratches or dents just because the contract doesn’t say there can be no scratches or dents? 😕

Dirk
