Maybe I am a bit old-fashioned, but I really don’t like an open shower. It is such a private area, and I prefer to have it enclosed for privacy.

It's always a matter of available space. I think a shower like this is a good addition alongside the bathtub. That way, I can quickly take a shower, which is faster than filling the bathtub with water. You just have to be careful to avoid excessive moisture.
