Hello,

I have the following problem:

I still have a pull-out Komplement pants hanger, an older model that looks like this:

Metal frame with vertical rods on wooden floor; tools lying next to it.

A few days ago, I bought a Pax wardrobe with a cabinet measuring 100 x 58 cm (39 x 23 inches).

Unfortunately, I can no longer find the installation instructions for this old Komplement pants hanger—only for the newer model, which works differently...

I can’t seem to correctly install my old pants hanger. It shouldn’t be that difficult: mounting the two rails with rollers on the left and right inside the cabinet and sliding in the hanger. But somehow, it’s not working smoothly: 1) it doesn’t fit properly, it comes out of the rail quite easily. It seems like the cabinet might be a few centimeters too wide, so the rails are set a little too far apart—is that possible?

Also, I wonder if it’s supposed to have a stopper? When I pull the pants hanger out too far, it comes completely out into my hands, with no blocking mechanism. Is that normal?

Furthermore, I have a question about the rails with the rollers… There are also horizontally positioned rollers inside (as seen in my photos below). The rail can be installed so that these rollers face either downwards or upwards. How should the rail be installed correctly?

Ideally, I would really appreciate having the installation manual for this pants hanger, so I would also know if any accessories might be missing =)

Below are pictures showing how it looks currently. I have mounted it as best I can, but the problems described are still present. I don’t think I have installed it correctly :S

I also called Ikea, but that annoying menu doesn’t connect me to an appropriate employee who could provide older installation instructions. :/

Could you please help me?

Thank you very much!

Hello,

it looks like the horizontal rollers are slightly bent upwards. This prevents them from providing proper lateral guidance.
Without seeing the rails of the trouser hanger from the inside and a close-up of the part with the rollers, it is difficult for me to figure out how a stop is realized and how the parts work together.
You can measure whether the distance between the cabinet walls is correct, for example 99.8 cm (39.3 inches) - 3.6 cm (1.4 inches).

Hi,

thank you for your feedback. I think these rollers have to be bent like that because I have a total of two of these trouser hangers, so four of these rails altogether, and on all the rails, the rollers on the side are bent like this.

OK, I will simply provide close-up shots of the parts tonight.

In the following pictures, it appears that the rollers need to be positioned at the front edge of the cabinet (otherwise it cannot be pulled out far enough).

So, of course, I have already searched for some reference pictures online, but wow, I haven’t come across any good images so far.

Yes, I have already installed the rails on the cabinet body in all possible configurations and then slid the extendable handle onto them. From this, I’ve learned that the rollers definitely need to be positioned at the front of the cabinet body, not further back inside. Still, the whole mechanism runs quite awkwardly; when extending it, everything wobbles a bit. It’s basically like this: if all the rollers on the left side are correctly positioned in the sliding rail of the handle part, then on the right side there is too much space between the sliding rail and the rollers in the rail attached to the cabinet body. I hope that makes sense?

I will provide some pictures again this evening. =)

First, measure the width of the cabinet body at that point.
