axel-guido4 Oct 2023 15:03Hello,
We have some chairs from IKEA, but there is no name indicating the model of the chair. We only have the old item number 201.386.00.
Could someone help us identify the name of this chair? We are trying to find 2 or 3 more of the same chairs online.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Jurassic1354 Oct 2023 20:45Have you already tried contacting Ikea directly, for example through their chat? They should definitely be able to check what the model was called back then.
With Google Image Search, you can find the "Armchair, 1960s, set of 6" on Pamono punkt de for a mere 890€ plus shipping.
They occasionally showed up on eBay Classifieds as well, but unfortunately never with a name :-(
Since they apparently date back to the 1960s, I’m not surprised. They look comfortable ;-)
Maybe this information will still help you?

Bertram1005 Oct 2023 09:38Small consolation if you can’t find a suitable unit anymore: sets usually look a bit awkward and amateurish. A well-chosen alternative model is usually the nicer choice, at least in my opinion. So I don’t think you can go wrong.

Maybe this info will still help you? According to the original poster, the model is from Ikea, possibly inspired by the set from the 1960s?
Using image search, you can also find the original poster’s ad on Classifieds. There they mention the chairs are from 1999.
However, I couldn’t find them in the Ikea catalogs from 1998/99 or in the years before or after.
On the other hand, there are plenty of interesting rediscoveries of furniture from that era—thanks for the tip about the Ikea museum, @Fuchsbau35! It’s like travelling back in time. It’s very interesting how long some pieces of furniture have existed, pieces you had almost forgotten, and what was actually popular back then in interior design and the related advertising.
