StoneHello everyone,
we are planning to buy a house that was built in 1974. The exterior walls are made of Ytong and are 30cm (12 inches) thick. Unfortunately, the density of the Ytong is not known, as the original builder has since passed away.
Now for the question: Is additional external insulation necessary or advisable here? Or is it not possible to say this in general?
Thank you very much in advance!
Best regards
