Hello forum community,

I hope someone can provide information regarding my following question. Thank you.

Some time ago, I installed a beech wood parquet floor, which now needs to be oiled again. Last year, I did this entirely by hand. However, since that is quite tiring, I would like to rent a polishing machine. Now I have a question about whether my planned procedure is correct:

  • Clean the parquet with a basic cleaner
  • Oil the parquet, but no oil should remain on the surface*
  • After the oil has been absorbed, polish with a polishing machine (soft brush)
* Here I have a question: How long should the oil be left to soak in?

Thank you very much for your feedback.
Best regards

Hello,
This can take between 4 and 15 hours, depending on the type of oil used. Before starting the work, make sure to carefully read the user instructions and the technical data sheet of the parquet oil.
