ᐅ Quote from the heating engineer came as a surprise

I just received a quote from the heating contractor for my construction project planned for next year and was quite surprised by the final price.

Key details: 160 sqm (1,722 sq ft) plus basement, KFW 55 solid construction, currently 2 people but planning for 4 in the future, underfloor heating.

The standard system includes a Viessmann Vitocal 200-S with a 200-liter (53 gallons) hot water tank.

We wanted to submit a quote by the end of 2020 to qualify for the BAFA subsidy of 35%. Additionally, a ventilation system is to be installed.

Here is the breakdown (net prices!):

• Novelan LADV9 including HSDV9, 180-liter (47 gallons) hot water boiler and 62-liter (16 gallons) buffer tank for €5040
• Optional HSDV12 with 290-liter (77 gallons) hot water and 82-liter (22 gallons) boiler for €997
• Hoval Homevent comfort FRT 351 including Toptronic E room control module and all silencers, ducts, etc. for €13,694.93

The controlled residential ventilation system, in particular, really surprised me... are these surcharges too high or reasonable?

My Wolf CWL 2-325, including installation and ductwork for 250 m² (because it includes the basement), costs 15,000€ net. (Southern Germany)

Vaillant controlled residential ventilation for just under 13k for 163m2 (1755 sq ft). From what I have read here, I would say this is a common price.

Yes, I don’t see anything unusual either. It only gets cheaper through your own labor. The market situation simply determines the prices.
