Good evening everyone,
A semi-detached house with 170 sqm (1,830 sq ft) of living space is planned to have a centralized mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery. My general contractor offered the following:
Central mechanical ventilation PLUGGIT over 3 floors (model not specified): €13,580
Enthalpy exchanger: €4,865
Standard allergy filter: €1,800 ("plugvoxx" optional €3,900)
These are gross prices including the contractor's markup. With the standard filter, that totals €20,245.
Honestly, I need to sit down for that. I had estimated around €12,000.
What do you think about this offer?
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Hi there,
we also plan to install the system ourselves.
Do you happen to have the procedure?
So the pipes are supposed to be embedded in the screed...?You should definitely have the planning done by someone who knows what they’re doing.
In our case, the pipes for the ground floor are embedded in the in-situ concrete slab. The pipes for the upper floor run through the insulation of the floor slab. The valves (supply and exhaust air) are therefore located in the ceiling of both the ground and upper floors.
