Dear community,
due to soaring prices, we would appreciate an evaluation of the attached quote. We are building on a slight slope and therefore need two levels secured by L-shaped retaining stones. Additionally, the earthworks around the house are included, as well as the required paving without materials.
Do you think the price is reasonable or rather too expensive? Your feedback would be a great help to us!
Thank you all very much

Maybe it also helps to calculate the time at €20 per hour if you were to do everything yourself.
I bet that with equipment rental, time off, and overtime—including sick leave for back problems, bruises, etc.—you’d likely end up spending about the same as the quoted price. Especially when you consider that, as a non-professional, you probably won’t be able to lay even one concrete block (“L-block”) in half a day as efficiently as a professional or get the 100 sqm (1,076 sq ft) of paving done perfectly straight.

I bet that with equipment rental, vacation, and overtime including sick leave due to back pain, bruises, etc., you’d easily exceed the quoted price, especially considering that as a non-professional you probably won’t be able to lay more than one L-shaped concrete block in half a day like a pro would, or get 100m² (1076 sq ft) of paving perfectly even. I see it the same way!
As I said – I recommend asking whether you can help out.
With smaller gardening and landscaping contractors, this is often possible. That way, the total time for the outdoor area might be reduced from 2 weeks to around 1.5 weeks, and you can save thousands of euros.
Plus, you have someone experienced on site, don’t have to acquire a lot of knowledge yourself, and can still keep an eye on everything 😀

Just because you gain some knowledge about the tax adjustment (which I would find hilarious),What kind of knowledge? The tax office already has all the relevant numbers anyway. Just review them briefly, then hit send, done.
