Hello dear forum community,
I have just received my first offer and would appreciate a review with corresponding evaluation and/or tips.
As always: please excuse any generalizations or incorrect terminology, as I am by no means a professional. I try to explain everything as clearly and logically as possible.
Offer content 1, among other things:
Shell construction including foundation slab, roof frame, concrete staircase, roller shutter boxes, rainwater cistern, carport
Offer content 2:
Electrical work
Details see attachment
The house:
Type: solid construction according to the new energy saving regulation, no KfW
Size: 11.36 x 8.99m (37.3 x 29.5 ft), 155m² (1,668 ft²), 2 full floors, no basement
Location: Lower Bavaria (I believe that whether it is Schwabing or the Bavarian Forest makes a significant difference)
Construction company: locally based
Separate contracts will be awarded for:
Heating and plumbing, windows, electrical work (probably), interior finishing, painting and plastering, etc. (possibly also carport and roller shutter boxes in connection with windows—if sensible)
-> I have professionals for almost everything in my close family/friend network
I have largely anonymized the offer since I believe this is respectful to the provider. A meeting/negotiation appointment will follow soon, as well as at least one comparison offer.
Would you prefer a discount in cash or discounts in kind, such as additional services or higher-quality materials (for example, better bricks)? A discount in kind probably hurts the provider less and might make the most sense for both parties?!
Thank you in advance!

Why would anyone here want to analyze the pros and cons of, for example, aerated concrete blocks versus hollow clay bricks in thousands of characters and provide valuable input?
Isn’t this forum partly intended for that purpose?
A detailed description is always requested here to get a meaningful opinion when people ask about prices for products or services that are not clearly defined. That was my intention.
I would have been interested in an evaluation of the offer as well as the materials provided.
Of course, you don’t have to do that if you don’t want to...
