Can you switch to heating only?
If the low temperature setting works, at least you'll have heating. Hot water can be improvised until the technician arrives.

But I’m worried that the compressor might break down now.

Do you have no emergency operation, solely relying on the electric heating element?

We have a second heat source, and the heating is working. I have turned off the hot water for now and have to wait until a professional arrives.

What is the current status? Hopefully, you have switched the hot water preparation to an electric heating element?
The last data logs from your LAD did not show any irregularities regarding hot gas during hot water preparation, but they are already a bit old. Do you have logs from just before the error message appeared?

Good morning, yes, Christmas was great. I hope you’re all doing well and had a nice holiday too.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any recent logs. We are currently on a ski vacation, so things were quite tight and stressful just before Christmas.

The error has not occurred again. I agreed with our heating technician that if it happens again, a specialist company will be called in. Our plumbing company cannot do anything about error 704.
Since then, the heat pump has been running perfectly. The error definitely occurred when it was -11°C (12°F) outside. It probably had something to do with the location, but it wasn’t a normal situation. Fortunately, we have a secondary heating source that we could switch to if needed.
