ᐅ "standard roof" for a conservatory / sunroom

I would like to add a conservatory to my house, but with a conventional roof on top (to install solar panels). However, I want to avoid it being classified as an "extension." Any tips on this??

A different question:
What do you think, wouldn’t a conservatory with a glass roof still be considered an extension? The roof is not relevant for the definition.
