Träumerle26 Jun 2021 22:02Hello,
our electrical panel makes a loud clicking noise (you can hear it when turning a switch in the hallway above) and hums/static noise when all circuit breakers are on. What could this be? (Renovation, electrical system completely renewed)
Also, one light behaves strangely: it turns on with the switch, but I can’t turn it off again; only by removing the circuit breaker.
I will call the electrician on Monday. But maybe someone can help me based on their experience what this might be and whether it is a major problem or (hopefully) something easy to fix?
Thank you!

Your entire description sounds as if you encountered the species "staircase light timer" for the first time after landing here on Terra :-)

What does the person who installed it say? A light should be able to be switched on and off normally.

hampshire27 Jun 2021 09:32The hallway light switch sends a pulse through a clicking relay in the fuse box, turning the light on. After a preset time, the relay clicks again and switches the light off, so it goes dark. As a result, the switch only turns the light on. Advantage: No one can forget to turn off the hallway light. Disadvantage: No one can leave the hallway light on.

Träumerle27 Jun 2021 19:29Thank you @hampshire. That at least clears up one of my questions. :-)
I probably didn’t explain it very well either. The noises worry me (it’s not just about the one light that I now understand). But I will ask the electrician directly tomorrow; hopefully, they won’t laugh at me.

A push button is not the same as a switch. Staircase lighting with two-way switching can be done (in a single-family house), but it’s better to use a stair light timer. It sends a pulse – which is why it’s paired with a push button – and in the breaker panel, a relay activates for a set (and adjustable) amount of time, clicking like a toy car; after that, it automatically switches off again. And of course, there is also a permanent on setting, @hampshire.
