Our general contractor does not normally install underfloor heating in the hallway of the attic. Do you think this is acceptable?

Our HVAC planner also considered it unnecessary since the supply lines to the respective rooms usually run through the corridor, which should provide enough heat.

Hello

The areas in the hallway on the upper floor are generally quite small. Since heat naturally rises through the open staircase, the supply ducts to some rooms along the walkway are, in my opinion, sufficient.
I agree with the offers, so I consider them acceptable.

Our plumber simply laid the two supply lines to the children's rooms, which run through the hallway, in two generous loops (about 4m² (43ft²)) within the hallway instead of taking the direct route. When you heat the children's rooms normally, the hallway also gets slightly warmed. This seemed like a practical solution without much complexity, additional electrical work, or fuss. For a larger playroom hallway or library hallway, I might consider a different approach.

Upstairs, we have the heating on almost only in the bathroom. There is a separate loop in the upstairs hallway, but it does not have its own room temperature regulator; instead, it is controlled together with the bathroom. This has proven to be the best solution for us.
