Hello,
In two weeks, the time has come—I will be moving. Although I am not a fan of it, this time it is absolutely necessary. Everything is settled and organized, except I still need temporary no-parking signs. I plan to borrow them; what is the usual cost? A moving company offered me the option to rent them. What should I be aware of when putting them up?

Thanks for your answers.

Best regards

Is 59.00 euros expensive?

With us, you need to get approval from the local authorities. They also offer the option for the public works department to set it up. I believe you pay around 50€ for that. So the price is reasonable.

You MUST get approval; simply obtaining and installing it is illegal and can result in a severe penalty. The same process applies if you want to put up construction signs or close a road (for any reason), even if it is a dead-end street.
Approval must be obtained from the local municipality or the road traffic authority.

Hello denden,

You are not allowed to simply put up no-parking signs. You need to apply for a so-called "designated no-parking zone" with the relevant road traffic authority. You can most likely arrange this through the moving company as well.
