Hello, next year I am building a KW40 solid construction house that includes a Milan ventilation system with heat recovery.

Now I would like to ask about your experiences with it.

I am somewhat concerned about dry air—do you have any insights or practical experiences?

Thank you very much

I recommend a system with moisture recovery. This keeps the indoor air comfortable even in winter and prevents it from becoming too dry.

Do you have a Bieber0815 like that?

Because I’ve also heard that the air isn’t dry even in winter.

I believe it is rarely used because it does not allow moisture to regulate naturally, which can lead to mold if there is too much moisture.

In winter, the air becomes quite dry with controlled residential ventilation systems without moisture recovery.

Here in Schleswig Holstein, an acquaintance currently has 45% humidity in winter. Without any heat recovery ventilation.

I think this is a good value.

No one is forcing you to do anything here. We are just sharing our experiences. If you consider 45% relative humidity at around 3°C (37°F) outside and possibly 22°C (72°F) inside to be good, then that is simply your view.

Personally, I wouldn’t want to build without moisture recovery, because I know how dry it can get.
