Good morning everyone!
As part of remodeling our kitchen, we want to replace the kitchen window (including the bathroom window and balcony door) with new ones. We are considering the KF320 series from Internorm, as we like the design. Currently, the aluminum cladding is included for free, which is obviously a great bonus.
We live near Augsburg, 86150!
We visited one Internorm dealer who said he usually sets the windows slightly into the masonry, so they are plastered in by about 5mm (0.2 inches).
There is another Internorm dealer who mainly uses silicone and plaster profiles, according to the first dealer.
So, what is good and what is not…??
The window dimensions are 2230mm x 1180mm (88 x 46 inches) height, plus a window for the bathroom and a balcony door. The quote is still pending and should be coming soon.
I’m curious to see what it will cost.
Does anyone know the other Internorm dealer in or around Augsburg, or have experience with them? I would like to get two to three quotes.
Thanks!

We recently visited a dealer of the company Internorm, who said that he always installs the windows slightly set into the masonry, so that about 5mm (0.2 inches) is covered with plaster.
There is another Internorm dealer here who mostly works with a lot of silicone and plaster trims, according to the first dealer.
So, what is good and what is bad...?? Using lots of silicone and plaster trims would be a no-go for me. The goal is a RAL-compliant installation, meaning with sealing tapes, multifunctional tapes, preferably plastered in, with the interior side being more airtight than the exterior, and so on.
So, the offer is now here, and they want €7,300 broken down as follows for KF320 plastic-aluminum windows:
1 window 2230 mm (88 inches) height x 1180 mm (46 inches) = €1,800
1 window 850 mm (33 inches) x 910 mm (36 inches) = €740
1 balcony door 1205 mm (47 inches) x 2120 mm (83 inches) = €1,300
Plus 2 Somfy motors, rolling shutter covers plus their insulation, window sills
And then there is the installation in an older building with plastering, etc. = €1,800
What do you think about this?

Allthewayup1 Feb 2024 20:30So, does the scope include the removal and disposal of the old windows as well as plastering around the new windows, including the exterior window sills? If so, I don’t see this as overpriced but rather a reasonable price for upper mid-range windows installed according to RAL standards.
However, it’s always worth comparing! I would at least get a second quote. For example, we went from $11,000 (first quote) to $7,000 (second quote) for a glass railing with the same specifications.

The other dealer said that the KF320 units are a disaster and that he no longer installs them.Taken alone, this statement is meaningless nonsense; however, combined with his reasoning, it at least serves to assess his expertise.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/
