FrauHummel10 Nov 2015 13:56Hello everyone,
I have been registered here for a while but only followed the discussions and gathered ideas.
Now we have finally purchased a plot of land and are right in the middle of our planning.
Please take a look, maybe there are some ideas or suggestions for improvement.
It will be a solid construction house, without a basement, with a pitched roof.
Thank you in advance!

I find the fireplace position in relation to the dining table unfavorable. Fireplaces emit quite a bit of heat, and someone would be sitting at the dining table less than a meter away from the fireplace.
The distance between the sofa and the TV wall only works with a very large TV.
Overall, I still see the living and dining areas as somewhat awkward.
I like the kitchen and terrace location. You could also consider swapping the "heating" and bicycles areas to integrate the heating system within the building envelope, possibly as a bay window.
The sequence of the master bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet is rather inconvenient. I find it practical to enter this area centrally through a walk-in closet, from which you can access both the bathroom and the bedroom. This way, someone can get up, go through the closet to the bathroom, get dressed, and leave the room cluster without disturbing the person still sleeping. It also makes little sense to plan such a wide window in the walk-in closet.
The attic layout is generally okay, but the location of the guest beds is not very good. It would be worth reconsidering how to arrange this space more efficiently.
In general, elevations, information on parapet heights, and a few other details from the separately pinned thread above are missing:
