ᐅ New Lawn Installation – Use Topsoil or Turf Soil?

Hello everyone, the weather is gradually warming up and we want to sow the lawn soon.
Now I’m wondering, can I sow the grass seed directly on the topsoil, or should I mix in some top dressing soil?
Can you recommend good grass seed?
It should be a standard sports and play lawn.

We have sown the sport grass from GF Grass at our place, and it turned out great. It is available, for example, through Amazon.

It depends. Do you mean in the lawn? Or with regular garden soil?

Last year, we had to reseed part of the lawn. We simply scattered the seeds on the topsoil. However, the soil here is quite sandy, and we did not use any fertilizer. Unfortunately, nothing grew. We will now try again using different soil.
