I urgently need some help:
Our 18-month-old Domsjö suddenly developed a crack right after draining the pasta water. IKEA immediately offered free replacement and installation. So far, so good.
The sink was replaced. When the installers finished, I noticed that they had cut off a piece of the trim. The new Domsjö sink is apparently slightly deeper and therefore does not fit properly. The installers were at a loss. IKEA itself is also unsure how to proceed.
Does anyone here have the same problem? I would appreciate any advice.
I would like to attach a photo. Is that possible?
Best regards,
Steffi

IKEA-Experte2 Mar 2016 22:45Have the installers measured the height of the old and new basin? Leaving the cut edge exposed under the sink is really not an option. Moisture will inevitably accumulate there, and it won’t take long before the consequences become visible.
