we currently have a Viessmann system, have been satisfied with it for 5 years, and are installing it again in our new build. Are they really better than others? No idea. Apparently, Viessmann is one of the last to still use full stainless steel combustion chambers. Others are said to use aluminum, which might be less durable.
If you search online, the price differences between manufacturers are not huge. You can get even the top Viessmann model for around 3000 € (about 3200 USD). That’s what we are having installed now.
Probably more important is that the installer is experienced with the system. So maybe just ask them.

As already mentioned in the previous answers, focusing on a single manufacturer alone is probably not the most important factor. Much more important, as is often the case, is that the overall concept is coherent. That means the heat generation and heat consumption need to be properly coordinated. How should the hydraulic system be designed? Will the heat distribution be through underfloor heating or radiators? And is there a combined storage tank for domestic hot water and heating, or how will the heat be buffered? Additional points (such as calculating the heating load according to standards while considering your desired room temperatures, etc.) should be worked out with your professional planner. Only after proper demand planning does the specific equipment selection make sense, and here the crucial factor is certainly which alternatives the heating installer offers and can support optimally.
