Hello,

We have been on a potential interested parties list for a new housing development that is expected to be built within a foreseeable time frame for about a year now.

Yesterday, we received an “Expression of Interest - Response” from the city. Besides the usual details like name, address, etc., there were also some questions about the building style, the number of housing units, whether it’s a single-family house or something else. They also asked about the approximate plot size, when we plan to build, and what I find quite strange, “how much we are roughly willing to pay.” Do you think the city is already filtering potential candidates based on this or are they only accepting those who are willing to pay the most?

Additionally, the form needs to be signed, but I assume this is just non-binding, right? The title of this PDF makes me a bit cautious.

Thanks in advance for your help and opinions!

You could also simply call there and ask about the current status of the development area and what the purpose of the submitted inquiry is.

The letter states that everything is changing in the planning of the residential area because a new school will also be built there. Previously, only a daycare center was planned.

Where can you find a development like that? 70 euros per m2 (approximately 6.50 USD per ft2) and new schools, kindergartens, etc.

And again, read the minutes of the city council meetings.

@11ant you are right, I mixed it up.

@11ant you are right, I got that mixed up.

Are the minutes publicly accessible?

As I said, that was the price on the other side of town without a school or daycare nearby.
I think the price will definitely be higher here, but of course I hope it will stay within a reasonable range. (The town has about 7,000 inhabitants but a lot of industry with around 2,000 jobs and really everything you need for daily life, including a branch office of the district administration.)
