Hello everyone,
what are your experiences with the window sill height for a built-in toilet flush system?
I have 3 options:
- 137cm (54 inches): flush button vertical
- 119cm (47 inches): button at the top (horizontal)
- 132cm (52 inches): impossible or I have to place the toilet elsewhere
THANK YOU for your help.

There is also the 87cm (34 inches) option or something similar, where the switch button is on top.

That’s how we solved it.

Well, the positioning isn’t entirely unreasonable. I’ve even read that in the worst case, the open toilet lid is directly in front of or on top of the flush button.

Who on earth would build something like that? They could have placed the button underneath the toilet; you’d just have to bend down... ‍

@seat88
I think I once read about that in a construction blog with a picture included.

Can someone explain to me what the problem is with that? We planned it for the guest toilet. I think it’s better than placing it on top. And it will only be operated when the lid is down anyway.

But in the worst-case scenario, the toilet seat cover blocks the flush button. And I wouldn’t want the cover to constantly hit the button.

It wouldn’t bother me, except in combination with soft-close lids.
