nachtfalter14 Sep 2020 22:41Hello everyone,
we are planning a new build and need fresh ideas for the bathroom. The window is currently drawn as a 2.13m (7 feet) transom window but will be changed to a "standard" 1.26m (4 feet) window. The door position is fixed since the access is through the dressing room, and the long wall needs to be kept free for fixtures. Ideally, we would like a larger walk-in shower, although whether it has a glass partition or a half-height wall is not a crucial factor, and the bathtub will likely be 180/80 cm (71/31 inches).
Based on the current layout, does it possibly make sense to rotate the sink 90° to face the window and thereby separate the toilet area, or would that cause too much loss of natural light? Are there other solutions that could make better use of the bathroom space?

nachtfalter16 Sep 2020 19:51Thank you, what do you mean by switching/mirroring the shower? Swapping it with the bathtub or changing access to the shower from the other side? How far should the bathtub be positioned away from the wall along its longer side?

Are there other solutions that could make better use of the bathroom? Why do you want to focus only on the bathroom? In my experience from this forum, the "remaining ninety percent" of the house usually has just as much potential as the small part the original poster is asking about.
