Hello everyone,

I am currently looking at a townhouse (end unit) that I would like to buy.

Unfortunately, the house does not have network outlets installed. I would like to add them later. I am not familiar with this topic.

The house was built in 2002, and in my opinion, it would not make sense to completely rewire the electrical system.

Is there another way to install the network outlets? For example, using cable trunking / cable ducts? Has anyone here done something like this before? If so, does anyone possibly have pictures?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards

I thought maybe there is something where you can connect a cable at both ends and in the middle a narrow part under the door. If I remember correctly, there is something like that for satellite cables.

There are these for SAT, meant for windows or balcony doors. You don’t seriously want something like that for interior doors, do you?!

It’s already bad for SAT, and it doesn’t exist for network cables anyway.

Sorry, but are you sure you want to do this on your own and not rather consult an electrician?

Yep, I’m doing this on my own 🙂. However, I haven’t done a project over multiple floors yet; so far, I’ve always run it under the carpet all the way behind the wardrobe, and that always works quite well.
