Hello everyone,

I am currently thinking about the shading for my 5x5m (16x16 ft) wooden deck, which will be used as an outdoor dining area. Normally, I would have installed a louvered roof without hesitation. Until I saw this:

Wooden terrace in the garden with several trees and a shady leaf canopy, open outdoor area.

Is such natural shading practical? The distance between the crab apple trees is exactly 5m (16 ft), which matches our dimensions perfectly. Which plants are suitable for this? Preferably not ones that attract a lot of insects...

The landscaping contractors have been by far the slowest team on the construction site so far.

In one day, they only installed 5m (16 feet) of edging stones. If this continues, the garden won’t be finished until 2022.

I would like to install water pipes underground along the property boundary wall and have a tap at each corner, extending out of the lawn. The system will be connected to the external water outlet on the house. Under the paving stones, I have already installed a drain pipe leading to the tap to later run the water pipe or hose through it.

Which types of water pipes, T-joints, and taps would you recommend?
