Hello everyone,
unfortunately, I still haven’t finished installing my front panel due to missing tools. Now that I have everything, I’m stuck again.

I will upload a photo of the issue shortly. I used the drilling template to make the necessary holes and installed the first two screws, then hung the front panel. Now I’m supposed to attach the spacers at the top of the dishwasher. From the instructions, I understood that spacers 7 cm (3 inches) and 4 cm (1.5 inches) should be installed together, then the front pushed upwards before fitting the remaining screws. If I do it this way, the front panel would catch on the toe kick at the bottom when opening the dishwasher.

Also, the illustration in the assembly guide shows the two strips joined so that the hooks are not visible, only the cutouts – I hope you understand what I mean. The strips are pretty foolproof; you can’t connect them the wrong way. However, if I do it like that, the hooks on the bottom of the second strip (or on the single strip if I only mount one instead of two) stick out, creating a kind of gap between the strip and the front panel. Is this really how it’s supposed to be?

The front panel must align at the bottom with the fronts of the other cabinets. Often, with a dishwasher, the plinth below needs to be slightly shortened to allow the door to open.

I’m not sure which hooks and holes you mean. Usually, strips are installed behind the front panel to compensate for different front heights. A gap should not be visible. Clip on as many strips as needed to cover everything. With my Bosch, there were no hooks pointing downward. Do it in a way that satisfies you.

Okay. I find the idea of cutting the baseboard quite frustrating, and I’d rather not shorten it if possible. How would that look anyway?! Well, I’ll give it a try.
Regarding the clips: You can see them in the photo; they basically extend downwards from the spacer and would then hook into the next spacer and visually disappear once installed. I don’t fully understand how I’m supposed to finish the moldings, because the clips would then press against the front panel and create a gap of a few millimeters (inches).
I hope this explanation is a bit clearer.
Thanks in advance for the help!

There isn’t much that needs to be cut out from the baseboard around the dishwasher area. You can only really notice it if you lie down on the floor or look from a long distance.

I just looked at the installation manual. It’s quite confusing. The hooks on the strips should be shown, especially since Ikea mostly explains things using pictures.

If I understand correctly, all the strips have these hooks, and they can’t be installed with the hooks facing upwards. In that case, I would select the appropriate strips (according to the manual, the 4mm (0.16 inches) and 7mm (0.28 inches) strips) and remove the hooks from the lower one.

Good idea. I will try it and then let you know if it worked.
