Hello everyone,
We purchased a single-family house built in 2006. The construction company is well-known and has a very good reputation for quality. Unfortunately, the previous owners installed the insulation themselves. Now, on the northwest side, we have noticed stains on the drywall. We have also realized that this area feels colder. Could this be a thermal bridge (bedroom) causing condensation due to high humidity, or could it be mold? Should we have the drywall removed?
Thank you for your opinions.

Hello,
Is there an air gap or uninsulated space between the first rafter and the masonry?
Is there insulation installed between the rafters, a vapor barrier, or insulation beneath the rafters?
Has the vapor barrier been properly sealed to the masonry?
What thickness of insulation was used, and what is the U-value? 032, 035, 040?
Regards, Christoph
