ᐅ Moisture sensor for curbless (walk-in) shower

I would like to install a moisture sensor for my walk-in shower (probably in the screed or on the raw concrete slab) to prevent water damage. Does anyone have experience with such sensors? Are there possibly complete kits available specifically for this purpose? I prefer this solution over building one myself (I am a mechatronics engineer).

Search for "Busch moisture alarm insert 1531 U." There is a sensor strip available for this that you can probably install in the ground.

Is this installed by a professional? If not, you might end up breaking up the entire concrete ceiling only to potentially find a false alarm, which no one will pay you for.
