Hello, I need your advice.
I have added about 30 sqm (320 sq ft) to my house (living room).
The roof is finished (flat roof).
I have already installed insulation between the rafters in some areas using compressed insulation batts.
Next, I wanted to apply the vapor barrier on the rafters.
Today, I noticed water droplets on the wall near the ceiling.
I think this is condensation because the room is still quite humid.
Is it advisable to install the vapor barrier now, or should the moisture be completely out of the intermediate ceiling first?
Thanks in advance
Best regards

Why is the room so damp? I assume it’s because it’s not heated yet? Or because the screed is still drying?
Personally, I wouldn’t seal it up if it’s still that wet. Additionally, you should be absolutely sure that the moisture is really condensation and not coming from outside.

Personally, I wouldn’t seal it up if it’s still that wet. Also, you should be very sure that the moisture is really condensation and not coming from outside.Hello, the masonry is still partially damp, which is why the room is humid. I already have construction dehumidifiers running. I will wait until everything is completely dry before closing it up. Thanks.Similar topics
