Good evening,

we are currently planning our kitchen and feeling quite unsure about the choice of handles. We would actually like to combine handles and knobs, but I’m not sure how to divide them so it doesn’t become too busy. I would prefer knobs on the tall cabinets with glass doors, but on which other cabinets would that work? For the dishwasher and refrigerator, it makes more sense to use handles due to practicality.

Do you have any ideas on which handles and knobs can be combined and how you would arrange them?

Thank you!

I wouldn’t use knobs. Handles everywhere.

I agree. If knobs are absolutely desired, I would keep them on the display cabinet doors. That way, at least it remains consistent.

I would also make all the handles horizontal and long so that you can easily open the drawers from both the right and left sides. Why are the handles on the island vertical on the inside but horizontal on the outside?

Thank you for the suggestion! Would it be best to arrange all the handles horizontally then? On the cabinets with hinges on the right or left side, and centered on the others?

Cabinet doors about 35cm (14 inches) deep are only on the outside of the island.
All other cabinets have pull-out drawers, because no one wants to crawl inside to get stuff from the bottom.
It is much easier to reach in from above the pull-outs.
