Hello everyone,

I want to install a mirror above the sink in our bathroom. However, the wall is not vertical; it has a sloping ceiling that leans backward (see photo).

Additionally, I am quite tall, so the mirror should be hung a bit higher. But if it’s too high, it will end up far above the sink because of the slope, which is not very practical.

In cases like this, is a bathroom mirror usually installed perfectly vertical? To be honest, I’m a bit unsure and hope to hear your experiences or advice.

The mirror will not be a medicine cabinet but a standard wall mirror (probably round or simple rectangular).

Thanks in advance for your tips and experiences!

I don’t fully understand the requirements. (I can’t find the “see photo” reference.) A mirror must be mounted directly opposite and perpendicular; otherwise, you can’t see yourself. So: I believe “completely vertical” is correct. But having a picture would definitely be helpful...

Well, unfortunately, this is a design mistake. The sloped area could have been planned for the toilet or bathtub; the sink is not ideal there. I would look for a larger version of the small makeup mirror currently in place—something that can be tilted upward. Otherwise, you simply can't see yourself. Be prepared for frustration due to the low viewing angle.

What do the walls on the left and right look like? It’s not necessarily required to be able to see yourself in the mirror while washing your hands. The mirror could also be placed somewhere else.
