ᐅ Minimum width for a double-leaf window or patio door?

We like two-panel windows (without a central mullion). They will probably be made of uPVC. Do such windows make sense at a width of 100 cm (40 inches)? Or are the panels then too narrow and impractical? The same question applies to the patio door: it will be 113 cm (45 inches) wide. Is it possible to have two panels here, or does everything become too narrow?

6 panes on the inside and 6 on the outside = 12 panes to be plastered x 4 corners = 48 corners

That's right...! I always clean only from the inside.

That works well as a brain teaser...

In our new house, despite having windows without muntins, we have now switched to a professional window cleaner. He finished cleaning the entire house in 50 minutes, whereas doing it yourself would have taken a whole day of hard work.

It's up to you. We had one vertical and two horizontal muntins, so each window had 48 corners.

Hmm ... it’s quite late and it’s been a long day. But based on your information, I count a maximum of 32 corners; total inside and outside.

Argh – just read it now; the cross braces divide the vertical post ops:

Even the inside? I only know “fast” window cleaners who skip the inside of the frames… that’s so far stopped me from hiring one.
