Good day!

In ceiling installations in stores, it is common to see all the pipes and ducts coated with a matte black paint. Is there something like this available in a small spray can? Or put differently: If I want to make small areas of a plastered wall matte black, what kind of spray paint should I use?

There’s probably nothing special needed. There are also small spray bottles available, often sold in matte black as rallye finish. I would suggest checking a major online retailer to see what they have on offer.

So, just regular spray cans? I had some concerns because there is a difference between spraying a filled surface and a smooth, closed surface. But alright, I will give it a try.

What do you want to use it for, or at which location? I can't think of any suitable place for it in a residential house.

I am currently refurbishing my speaker room, and there will be some narrow strips that won’t be covered by the acoustic panels, for example beside and above a door with a black frame. Before a white strip becomes visible there, I prefer to paint it black. So, this is not a living area but a technical room.
