As mentioned in my last post, this is about heating, plumbing, etc.
We have started building our house back home.
Everything related to plumbing, heating, water pipes, and so on, we want to buy in Germany and bring to Kosovo for installation.
I need good, high-quality materials for the bathroom, underfloor heating, and plumbing.
What complete underfloor heating kits can you recommend? Which manufacturer offers the best quality?
Which bathroom fixtures do you recommend? (Hansgrohe? Kermi? Villeroy & Boch)
Which floor-level shower drains are the best?
Which water pipes are the best?
Before the question comes up as to why we don’t buy these materials locally, I can answer that directly: we don’t trust the quality there. This may sound arrogant or elitist, but when it comes to these things, I believe nothing beats good old German workmanship.
Thank you in advance.
Happy New Year to you all!

What complete kits for underfloor heating do you recommend? No kits. Look for multilayer composite pipes (MSVR) for underfloor heating at Heima24, heizungsdiscount, or selfio. Choose the cheapest 500m (1640 ft) rolls of pipes (e.g., 16x2 mm (5/8 x 1/8 inch)). They all meet standards and requirements and are good quality. Get accessories like manifolds from the same suppliers. “Brand name” products don’t offer more or better quality.

Which fittings do you recommend for the bathroom? (Hansgrohe? Kermi? Villeroy & Boch) Depends on your budget. All brands are good; custom or unusual designs tend to be more expensive everywhere.

Which water pipes are the best? I would also stick to the above advice for underfloor heating pipes here. Use multilayer composite pipes (MSVR) in the diameter you need with matching fittings. Pipetec pipes and fittings come highly recommended. Make sure to use proper fittings. Pipetec is also available from various suppliers. You can even press them up to 32 mm (1 1/4 inch) with a manual press.
Here you go. I have installed everything like this myself.
You can also use the expensive pipes/fittings from Geberit (Mepla) or Viega (Raxofix). They are indeed much pricier and sometimes need special press jaws. I don’t see an added benefit (partly used Raxofix for water lines and then switched to Pipetec).

If you want a mix of brand name and value for money, you can also choose FlowFit from Geberit – the system includes a (relatively) affordable manual press tool for the fittings. I found it quite easy to work with, even for a DIYer like me, and the range of fittings and pipes is designed for both cold/hot water as well as underfloor heating.
However, I mainly chose it because we also installed a bathroom using the Geberit GIS system, and there are some simplifications when you stay within the same system.
