Our main entrance is on the south side. What material would you recommend? Is there any issue if the color is relatively dark (probably steel blue)?
I have read that aluminum front doors can warp due to heat and sunlight exposure, causing them to close poorly.
An alternative would be uPVC (plastic).
Who can help me with this?

Plastic also expands and contracts. So, to be on the safe side, white is the best choice. Our door on the south side, which is the patio door, hardly warps at all. However, I believe that aluminum moves the least of all materials. Steel blue is not very dark either, unlike navy blue.

Nowadays, this warping issue is practically only seen with plastic doors and windows that have dark gray foil on the exterior surfaces (although front doors are less affected if they are located under canopies).
