Hello,

does anyone have experience with a basement built from brick masonry that meets the KfW 40 standard?

What measures were taken? Starting with the choice of bricks, insulation of the basement walls...

My house has external dimensions of 10 x 11.5 m (33 x 38 feet), with a slight (south-facing) slope.

Unfortunately, I’m receiving little support on this matter from my planner and their energy consultant.

Thank you in advance for your tips and opinions.

KfW 40 for the laundry room and tenants’ storage rooms ... seriously?

It might develop similarly here, since we don’t know your project well enough.

My intention here is not to start a discussion about concrete versus bricks. Anyone who can read will clearly understand the advantage.

No one claimed that either, but as you yourself say:
