najeHello!
A question:
We will soon receive a Dennert solid house WU prefabricated basement!
The walls will be delivered individually and then assembled using a special adhesive.
Should there be a masonry damp-proof course beneath the basement walls?
Thanks in advance for the information!
Best regards

Hello naje,
You are confusing some details. The company Dennert Massivhaus provides a basement made of waterproof concrete either as a semi-prefabricated element or as a full cast concrete structure. Depending on what you receive, the joint between the precast parts must be properly sealed. For example, joint sheets are used with semi-prefabricated elements, or swelling waterstop tapes and injection hoses with fully cast elements.
Masonry moisture barriers are bitumen membranes placed above the first course of masonry units to prevent moisture from rising through capillary action in the masonry.
