Hello construction experts,

I want to install smooth concrete columns as a property boundary, between which I will build a wall.
The concrete columns are to have a cross section of 40 x 40 cm (16 x 16 inches) and be 235 cm (7 ft 9 in) long, with 80 cm (31 inches) embedded in the ground.
We plan to set the columns with an excavator after they are made. For this, they will be secured from all four sides with concrete blocks, and later the space between the columns will be concreted. The masonry will then be built on top of the strip foundation. Finally, the C50 concrete will be painted with a two-component coating, since we live on a federal road where a lot of salt is used in winter.

Could someone provide a sketch showing the best way to reinforce the columns? It should allow proper compaction with a 30 mm (1.2 inch) diameter immersion vibrator and ensure that all air bubbles are removed from all visible surfaces.
The entire wall structure is freestanding, meaning it does not have to bear any unusual loads.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!!!

Hello, in professional supply stores (the ones where construction companies also buy), you can find prefabricated reinforcement cages in various sizes. You don’t have to bend or weave anything, just cut them to length and you’re ready to go....
