Hello
We have a new build that will be finished soon.
Unfortunately, the developer did not offer an in-wall conduit.
Can we install it ourselves afterwards?
Our wall consists of 15cm (6 inches) sand-lime brick plus insulation.
Our TV wall is the exterior wall.
If yes, what would you recommend?
How wide and deep should it be?
1 power cable, 4 HDMI cables, and 1 USB cable need to fit inside the conduit.

I can understand that you don't want a TV wall like that and prefer the TV to be wall-mounted, even with a highboard. That’s exactly what I have, and I’m very happy with my solution.

According to DIN standards, a slot in the wall must not become that large.
The floor plan looks exactly like that of friends who have a terraced house from Werner Wohnbau. There, the electrician installed an in-wall conduit (flush-mounted) in the wall (towards the neighbors), and that was not a problem—in fact, it was even done under the responsibility of the general contractor.
Regardless of that: Could it also cause warranty issues to do this now? If cracks appear in the wall later that need to be repaired, won’t the general contractor always argue that you are responsible?

Gooosee15913 Feb 2023 13:23@Tassimat Thanks, we want to mount the TV as flat to the wall as possible if possible.
We have a 75-inch TV.
Walls like these usually look fine with smaller TVs, but with such a large one, the wall would need to be quite big as well.
@Tassimat What solution did you use? Also an in-wall cable duct?
@Pacmansh Do you know the dimensions of the in-wall duct and how thick the wall to the neighbors is?

If you are planning something like this (15cm (6 inches) thick exterior wall to the neighbor, chasing 6cm (2.4 inches) deep), I would get written confirmation from the construction company that the sound insulation requirements will be met. Otherwise, your neighbor might sue you, or you might quickly become really annoyed by them, their children, and their sound system...
