Have you already formally notified the defect in writing and requested its correction in writing? If your contractual partner is not cooperative, I would seek legal advice without further delay. I sent a reminder by email on Saturday.I hereby demand that you professionally rectify the mentioned defects and restore the contractually agreed condition.

Very important: You are not responsible for proposing solutions. That is your contractual partner’s obligation. They should explain how they intend to achieve the desired condition. And do not accept poor compromises without further consideration… I will not accept compromises.Farilo schrieb:
I honestly can’t imagine that the site manager or the tradespeople really made a mistake. I mean, this is a professional company! They know what they’re doing. However, to me

The measurement error by the company installing the main pipeline resulted from our garage extending beyond the back of the house, specifically the 110cm (43 inches) due to the measurement error. reads like a plausible explanation for how the unbelievable could still have happened: wrong reference point — everything else wrong :-(

Sending reminders by email should be avoided; I don’t know any tradesperson who checks their inbox voluntarily every day.
A reminder must also include a deadline; otherwise, you are just giving them unlimited time. Apart from that...
With such a tone, you can quickly ruin the relationship... You’re still at the beginning of the construction process...
Are you working with a general contractor? Then they owe you the house as planned... you have to tolerate some things happening in the meantime. So if something happens on a Friday afternoon and the site manager only wants to check the quality of the work next week, you can’t interfere, threaten, or send reminders before they even had a chance to respond. You can point out that something has caught your attention and ask them to take a look, but sending reminders right away is completely over the top.
It’s good that you’re keeping an eye on things, but please give the site manager or general contractor time to respond at all.

Furthermore, it would be another proof that a "specialist company" is not always the same. So, it doesn’t always help to follow the "traditional" way.
