Hello everyone,
Our black stove requires a negative pressure monitor for the chimney, which is needed because of the air-to-air heat pump heating system. The chimney sweep wrote the following to me: I don’t have a specific negative pressure monitor in mind. What’s important is that the exhaust fan automatically switches off when a negative pressure of 4 pascals is reached.
We have already planned a connection to the chimney. See the attached picture.
Now my question is, which one do I need.
The system is a Proxon from Zimmermann.
Our electrician can install it, but I am supposed to purchase the monitor.
Thanks in advance and best regards
Zenjamino

Zenjamino7 Apr 2021 13:37Thank you very much.
I assume you mean the models from Huber. Which one do I need to choose then? There is one for flush mounting and one for surface mounting. Also, with or without plug-in sensor? Sorry for all the questions, but I’m a chemist and quite far from these topics 🙂 !

Zenjamino28 Oct 2021 20:23Hello, to finally close this topic. I received a certificate from the heating company confirming that the heating system is certified according to DIN XX (the ventilation switches off when there is negative pressure), so I did not have to install anything else.

raumhafen8 Dec 2021 17:49Hello Zenjamino, this topic is also very relevant to us right now, so I’m very interested.
Our chimney sweep also insists on having a negative pressure monitor. He said that no ventilation system manufacturer would certify that their system shuts off under negative pressure. That’s why we didn’t even try to ask. Our building documents also state that we need a negative pressure monitor if we plan to have a wood stove later on.
We also have a Proxon system from Zimmermann.
What exactly did you receive from them as a certificate?
Thanks in advance & best regards
Michael

raumhafen14 Dec 2021 19:09Ok, thanks for the information. I don’t think this will change our chimney sweep’s opinion, but we can give it a try 🙂
Did you get the form from the chimney sweep, or where can I obtain it?
Thanks again and best regards,
Michael
