Hello everyone,
We bought a house last year that is about 10 years old. It has an air-to-water heat pump from Buderus installed.
The day before yesterday, a loud alarm suddenly went off without any apparent reason (similar to a smoke detector) from the utility room. I happened to be in the utility room but couldn’t identify where the sound was coming from.
Just now, the same sound went off again, this time about 15 times in a row. I heard the last tones while still in the room but still couldn’t exactly determine what was beeping. It sounded like it was coming from the direction of the circuit breaker panel/electrical connection or water connections. The heat pump is on the other side of the room and is not showing any errors or warnings. There are no smoke detectors or similar devices installed.
What could this be?
Who should I call, a plumber or an electrician?
Anyone has any ideas?
Best regards

It probably wasn’t serviced for about 10 years. When we were there, we asked a local plumber to take a look at the heat pump. According to him, everything was fine (however, the sacrificial anode needed to be replaced), but we didn’t receive any maintenance stamp or similar documentation. Since there were never any issues and we didn’t get an invoice either, I just let it be.
Could the electrical connection or fuse box somehow be causing the beeping? Or is the problem more likely related to the water or the air-to-water heat pump system?
