Hello everyone 🙂
I’m completely overwhelmed by the topic of flooring. We have the following requirements:
- to be installed throughout the entire house (except bathrooms), including the entrance area and kitchen
- suitable for DIY installation (probably a click system?)
- large planks desired, at least 180cm (71 inches), preferably over 200cm (79 inches)
- can be laid in large rooms (10x10m / 33x33 ft) without expansion joints
- durable, sturdy, scratch-resistant
- surface should look as natural as possible, no typical plastic feel
- compatible with underfloor heating
Currently, I’m considering the following floors:
- Parador Modular One
- Meister Comfort DL 600
- Haro Classic Aqua
- Haro Life Aqua
I would be really grateful for any advice, because right now, I can’t see the wood for the trees 🙁

We have a floor from the brand Wicanders, mainly because of its total thickness of 10.5mm (0.4 inches). It has two layers of cork—one that stores heat and another layer that reduces impact sound. You can feel it when you place a plank on the floor and then lift it after a while to touch the cork layer with your hand—it feels warm. We installed it throughout the entire upper floor, except for the bathroom. However, I believe our floor does not have the Blue Angel label. In hindsight, I might have chosen a floor like this—or gone for solid hardwood parquet instead.
PS: I would NEVER install vinyl throughout the entire house. Especially in the entrance or "dirt zone," tiles are easier to maintain. Some types of vinyl are also difficult to clean because of their texture or because they may not tolerate cleaning agents (which can chemically degrade or physically scratch the surface).

I don’t think our floor has the Blue Angel label. In hindsight, I might have chosen a floor like this after all—or simply real wood parquet.

Some vinyl types are also hard to clean because of their texture or because cleaning agents may chemically cause swelling or physically cause scratches. I have to correct myself! I just found out that our floor is not from Wicanders but from Cortex (Vinatura)!
I only figured this out after asking different manufacturers about the article number and discovered that my floor was delivered in a “neutral” packaging to certain dealers. So now it’s “official”: you can’t even trust the specialty stores...
But anyway, we are actually very satisfied with the floor. We have the décor "Oak Porto Basic."
@Mertha257 you might want to check out the "Plusnatura" from Cortex.

@Mertha257, you might want to check out Cortex’s "Plusnatura". Thanks for the tip, bauenmk2020! Despite the pandemic, I found a showroom where I can see and feel it in person!
