fleischfrau25 Jan 2013 13:40Hello.
I finally registered here because I can’t make progress with my research alone and need the combined knowledge of all IKEA fans here.
Between October and December 2004, we bought a large white sofa at IKEA Halle/Leipzig. It is the perfect family cuddle sofa since all the covers (back cushions, seat cushions, and one large cover for the frame) are fully washable. Unfortunately, after 8 years of constant use, the covers are completely worn out, and we would like to buy new ones. However, to do so, we need the model name, which neither my husband nor I know.
Our sofa looks almost like the currently available Kivik 3-seat sofa (item number: 098.741.58), but the dimensions don’t quite match. Our model is 240 cm (95 inches) wide, while the KIVIK is only 228 cm (90 inches); our model is 100 cm (39 inches) deep, KIVIK only 95 cm (37 inches). Other measurements of our sofa: backrest width 24 cm (9.5 inches), backrest height 63 cm (25 inches); seat height currently 47 cm (19 inches) (possibly higher when purchased, as it’s now "well worn").
Inside the cover, I found a tag: it said ALLEBY 15151, Made in Poland. When I enter this in G....., unfortunately, nothing matching our sofa appears.
Maybe someone can help. I would appreciate any tips.
Until then, Sabine

Schneckchen25 Jan 2013 13:45Hello fleischfrau!
The sofa is quite large, could it possibly be the "Ekeskog" or the "Göteborg"?
There are also a few manufacturers that still make covers for older Ikea sofas.
Check here: *deleted*
to see if it might be listed there?

fleischfrau25 Jan 2013 14:02Wow, that was fast.
It’s not Ekeskog, our backrests are wide and square.
Göteborg is closer, but the seat cushions are rectangular; meaning the backrests extend all the way to the front and the seat cushion doesn’t have a “cut-out” for the backrest.
I already checked with BEMZ, but unfortunately, it’s not available there.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Schneckchen25 Jan 2013 14:17That was quick since I was just online.
It's a pity it wasn't included.
There is also a website where you can view old Ikea catalogs – I believe from the year 2005 or 2006 onward.
Otherwise, you could also upload a photo of the sofa, that would be great!

Otherwise, upload the image to a host and then post the link here in the comment.
