Hello,

I am looking for suitable "smart" radiator thermostats for some acquaintances.

The thermostats do not need to have many features.

They want to do the following with them:

Set a desired temperature, and the thermostat handles the rest.
Window open detection.
Optional scheduling (if not available, that’s also fine).
Possibility to add window sensors later that can communicate with the thermostats (also not mandatory).

They only need two units and currently do not have any other smart home devices, nor do they plan to.

Many thermostats require a bridge, which seems excessive for just two units, so they would prefer Wi-Fi-enabled ones.

Can you recommend a few options that might be suitable?

@netuser Yes, I am familiar with AVM's DECT thermostats, but unfortunately, they do not support Fritzbox.

The options are quite limited and challenging, so I am asking for advice here.

What do you think about the Homatic IP thermometers? Yes, you still need a hub, but are they any good?

They supposedly perform a continuous hydraulic balancing.
Does that actually help?

Since it is very difficult to find heating thermostats without a bridge, they have decided to accept a bridge as well.

Which models can you recommend?

The current favorites are Bosch or Homematic IP.

Does anyone have experience with these or can recommend others?

Tado is out due to the subscription.
