Hello everyone,
We are currently planning a new build and are a bit stuck when it comes to designing our future bathroom. We have already created or had some plans made, but none of them have really convinced us so far. Do you have any ideas?
For a rough orientation: The bathroom should include a larger washbasin, a toilet, a shower (preferably built-in or half-built), a bathtub, and ideally some space for a small shelf.
Thanks in advance!

I always wonder about that too 😉
Unfortunately, it’s not clear what the room at the bottom of the plan is intended for, but it seems like it should be closet space, so shifting the door might not be ideal.
Here
you can easily choose a fairly wide vanity with drawer storage, and to the right of the bathtub there could be a floor-to-ceiling end cabinet with a towel rack next to it (alternatively also as a heated towel rail). That is also a possible alternative*

Here is something a bit different. A glass partition either placed on the bathtub edge or on a partial wall 1 meter (3.3 feet) high.
Or no partition at all? 🤨

My favorite is still the T-shaped solution. A 2*0.75 meter (2*2.5 feet) opening by the bathtub is, in my opinion, not an issue since the bathtub is only 0.45 meter (1.5 feet) high. The beautiful view out the window is worth it. Or is there a house blocking the view?
Question for @*Sterntaler*: is it possible to move the door? This option somehow doesn’t appeal to me visually.

*Sterntaler*6 Jun 2021 20:31What do you think about this solution? It moves away from the T-layout, but everything would be easily accessible and nicely flooded with natural light (for us, these are important factors alongside the appearance, which became clear during our discussion about possible arrangements. It was also a question posed 😉).
Do you see any immediate challenges in implementing this?
PS: The adjacent walk-in closet is clearly visible in the attached image as well.

What do you think about this solution?Personally, I don’t find it appealing (2000 mm (79 inches) bathtub) and it doesn’t meet your current needs either (shower).H
hanghaus20007 Jun 2021 08:08If done like this, it meets all your requirements.

By relocating the door, you do not lose 30 cm (12 inches) of wardrobe space in the dressing area (it is only separated). Perhaps the door could be moved to a more practical position with a reasonable length? In return, there is an additional 1 m (3 ft) wardrobe in the bathroom. Plus, the sightlines are much better.
