Hello,
here is the current situation:
The shell of the building is just finished, and the roof is covered.
I have two floors to connect. The first staircase already exists, as it is made of concrete. The second staircase, which runs above the first, is only temporary. Formwork was also made for it because originally a concrete staircase was planned there as well. However, I have decided at short notice to install a wooden open-riser staircase instead to allow more light to pass through.
Now the temporary structure needs to be removed because the interior plasterer is coming.
What could I install now? I think the final staircase comes after the screed?
Or could the stair builder already install the final stringers and only fit temporary treads so that the screed and the rest can be done?
Any other temporary solution seems very complicated to me! Or is there something available, for example, from scaffolding specialists?

I simply built it myself using planks. However, it was obviously not officially compliant. So if anything had happened, I would probably have been held responsible. That’s something to keep in mind. Stair builders and carpenters (roofers) often have ready-made construction stairs that they rent out for around 200 EUR (about 215 USD).

We had the same situation. Before the interior works, the wooden stringer staircase with wooden treads was installed in the closed shell construction, all carefully wrapped with plastic and with cut-to-size material on the steps that looked like furniture back panels. Not a single scratch. I found this approach very convenient.
